Clean - beautiful hotel that feels like home. Immaculately furnished with a helpful hostess. Breakfast was delicious and the hostess was friendly - accommodating, and gave great local insights. Located close to many vineyards - with an easy drive to Bordeaux central.

The one-bedroom apartment at Chambres D'Hotes La Chartreuse Des Eyres is a little gem! It has a cozy kitchenette with a microwave and a stove, making it perfect for preparing simple meals. The free WiFi in all guestrooms is a great bonus for staying connected. The private bathrooms, complete with toiletries and bathrobes, add a luxurious touch. The double room with a sofa, tumble dryer, and washing machine feels like a home away from home. And the suite with a washing machine, hot tub, and electric kettle is just heavenly. Oh, and did I mention the thoughtful tea/coffee maker in one of the suites? Absolutely delightful!
If I had say one thing, it would be that the private bathrooms are fitted with a bath or shower. Personally, I prefer standalone showers.

Had a blast figuring out where to go on our own, because nobody at the hotel seemed to care. Great that the building and garden were pretty though. Like, really pretty.
Not sure if the hotel staff knew I was even there. Zero communication skills.

We had a great Christmas getaway at this charming chateau! The hostess was welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The property was absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. We loved the fact that we were able to visit nearby wineries and the Lillet distillery, indulging in our love for wine and spirits. The local restaurant, Chez Charlotte, was a hidden gem and served delicious meals. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding vineyards and the nearby boulangerie was a convenient spot for picking up fresh pastries.
Although our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of minor issues. the room we booked didn't have the two beds we requested, which was a bit inconvenient.

The kids were in awe of the grandeur and history, while my wife and I enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!
For dads, it would be great to have some more kid-friendly activities or amenities at the hotel.
